DO GET OUT.

You do get out.

You do travel solo;

You stare starers right into their eyes;

Suddenly realizing, the thin line between living life and being foolish.

You do get out.

You do hitchhike with strangers past sunset;

You take a picture of the number plate;

Suddenly realizing, the thin line between personal safety and showing distrust.

You do get out.

You do take that non-express overnight bus as the only female traveler;

You buy that seat beside you too;

Suddenly realizing, the thin line between exploring and being explored.

You do get out.

You do couch-surf at a stranger's house;

You inform your bestfriend – “SOS if no update every 2 hours”;

Suddenly realizing, the thin line between trusting the universe and being callously adventurous.

You do get out.

Betting your life against becoming a statistic;

Betting your life against becoming a headline;

Betting your life so that ...

In your defiance, you protest,

You start conversations,

You form an unspoken camaraderie with other defiers,

You meet good people – good men – lots and lots of them.

You get out.

Because despite the social narrative, your pepper spray has remained unused;

Because you could be, just as unsafe, being in;

Because it's important, for you to form your OWN opinion;

Because simple said, the stars are for you to enjoy too.
